About

Allow me to share with you a little background info about my PC experience.  At work, I am in charge of about 70+ PC workstations (desktops & laptops), and 5 servers.  I maintain their performance and troubleshoot as needed.  If I happen across a problem that I am unable to resolve immediately, I will take note of the symptoms, do some research, and/or refer to an IT (Information Technology) professional.  I also happen to maintain all of my immediate family’s PCs.  I’ve worked on friends’, co-workers’ and supervisors’ personal PC’s, and even people referred to me.  I’ve built five or six PCs and installed OS (Operating Systems), and am familiar with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux platforms.  I’ve created dual and multi-boot PCs, running both Windows and two or three different Linux OSs.

Because I am my company’s on-site tech support (not guru; more an enthusiast), and it’s a non-profit organization, I am compelled to save money wherever possible, seeking out and testing zero to low cost solutions, be it software or hardware.  Ultimately, what I’m getting at is, if you are tired of paying for programs like Microsoft, Norton Anti-virus, and the like, then I have FREE, POWERFUL, ALTERNATIVES that get the job done equally well, if not better.  Your PC system can be easy to maintain optimum performance, keep it secure from the bogeyman, and make you the happy camper you should be.  This can be simplified so that it is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
